I practiced making changes to a photo today. I probably made the process longer than it needed to be, but I guess that's what learning is all about. Here is the original photo and my changes. I like the original better. I think there is too much empty space where I took out the cruise ships.
Second day of class
We were introduced to Photo Shop today. I had some experience with it as a graphic designer years ago, but now I know how little I knew. I spent most of my time this afternoon playing with filters and adjusting images of myself, as you can see. The possibilities with this program are huge. I'm excited to see what I can do with it.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, though. Several times I was writing notes and missed some important information about the tools. I hope next week we have a quick overview before we move ahead. I feel like the old Far Side Cartoon where the student raised his hand and told his teacher his head was full.

New blog
I'm constructing this blog in my Technology and Fine Art class. Consequently, it's a work in progress. I'll post some photos of my work shortly.
Several people have asked me about my recent work. (Thank you for your inquiries.) I'm having a show at The Canvas Art Gallery in November. It'll open on the First Friday.
